Responsibility is in our fabric

Nobody’s Child is a brand on a mission to bring beautiful fashion to every woman, everywhere without costing the Earth. Designed in- house at our London-based studio, our collections favour lower impact materials including organic, recycled or responsible-sourced alternatives to their conventional counterparts.

Believing strongly in the power of collaboration, we work with NGOs and industry experts to share the knowledge, critical expertise and oversight needed to further our mission. Our employees, the very backbone of the brand, are deeply engaged in our sustainability initiatives. Similarly, our customers play a crucial role as advocates of sustainable fashion. It’s their demand for responsibly made clothes that allows us to do what we do.

Live gently upon this Earth. Be kind.

The future

At Nobody’s Child we are on a mission to continually reduce the impact we have on people and planet. We’ve mapped out three focal areas for us to work on and will report on progress as we move forward.

The goals

1. Introduce circular design principles

We’ve already introduced circularity training for our design team and we’re developing tools to ensure
circular principles are incorporated into all our clothes. Beyond circular design, we are also elevating our suite of circularity-focused services across repair, rental, resale, and more, helping  to keep our clothing in use for as longer.

2. Develop our responsible fabric mix

We will regularly assess our materials mix for all fibre types and always favour the organic, recycled,
responsibly sourced alternative to conventional key materials. Beyond this, we will conduct R&D with new, innovative materials and assess them for inclusion in our fabric mix.

 3. Continually reduce climate impact with science-based targets

We are working closely with EcoAct to measure and map our emissions, create a carbon reduction strategy and set science-based targets. We are also proud signatories of the Low Carbon Transition Programme, an industry-wide initiative supporting London based fashion move towards circularity and low carbon processes.
