What to Wear to the Party
The Dinner Party
Not every dinner party outfit has to start with a dress. Tailoring is invited.
A black trouser suit looks sharp without feeling too formal, particularly with a satin cami underneath or the blazer simply buttoned. Add pointed heels and a small bag. Done.
If you are wearing a dress, keep the same easy mood. A satin midi, dark floral or softly draped shape will feel right around the table without looking like you misread the invitation. Ballet flats work. So do low heels. Choose whichever makes staying for another drink more likely.
The Birthday Party
Another year around the disco ball calls for something special.
Red is already doing most of the work here. Wear a bright top with a black mini, or take the colour all the way with a red party dress. Satin, velvet and lace all know what to do when the lights go down.

The Work Party
The work party is mostly a change-of-shoes situation.
