The Ultimate ‘Swipe-Right-Worthy’ Styles for Valentine’s Day!
With Valentine’s Day fast approaching, earlier this week we shared our #NCrowd-approved ‘first date tips’. From conversation no-no’s to the tell-tale signs that they like you, date no. 2’s practically in the bag. But before we get too ahead of ourselves, there’s one other dating-dilemma to consider; your outfit. As you know, it’s all about that first impression and a jaw-to-the-floor get-up’s only gonna help. Which brings us onto our Valentine’s Day style edit; we share three totally different looks for three totally different dates.
Valentine’s Day Look 1 – Dinner for Two
Michelin-star restaurant or a cheeky Nando’s down town, if you’re going for dinner don’t expect much in the way of elbow room. So how do you stand out from the crowd without trying too hard? Enter, the slip dress. While bodycon’s will be out in-force on the night, the nineties alternative is an SS17 fave right now and certainly leaves more to the imagination – keep em’ guessing, right? We’ve layered a ruffle crop blouse over-top (patterned in roses, no less – tres topical!), while the velvet choker necklace will ensure their eyes don’t wander too low…
Valentine’s Day Look 2 – Alfesco Dining
Prosecco and strawberries under the open sky? Hella romantic, but finding the right outfit will be… no picnic (yes, it sounded better in our head). Lucky for you, our Daisy Culotte Jumpsuit’s not only SS17-approved with its fresh floral print and ruffle shoulder detail, but a far warmer option than say, a dress. Especially if, like us, you layer it over this frilly edge top. Square hoop earrings provide an evening touch, while a pair of chunky ankle boots add instant edge… not to mention, heels on grass is a big no-no (no damsels-in-distress on our watch!).

Valentine’s Day Look 3 – The Gig
Ok, so your date’s somehow managed to snag a couple of tickets to see your fave you-probably-haven’t-heard-of-them nu-wave punk band, despite the fact the gig sold out months ago. Once you’ve finished planning your wedding and picking which schools to send your kids to, there’s the small matter of your wardrobe to consider. Jeans and an oversized tee might not be your traditional Valentine’s Day garms, but when in Rome, right? Up the anti with a mesh cami on-top and keep accessories minimal to the tune of a choker.
