Being a London-based brand, it takes a lot to lure us out from our city of pop-up shops, overpriced barista coffees and hipster-run cereal cafés, but last week saw us doing just that, as we travelled all the way up to Glasgow for our first EVER blogger event!

Hosted at the #Blow salon on Argyle street, the bleached out setting (no pun intended, ok, well maybe it was...) complete with pops of colour in the form of neon signs and technicolor flower arrangements, was the perfect canvas upon which to show off our latest spring offerings. The fact that it also meant we could have our hair professionally styled beforehand had absolutely no sway over our decision whatsoever (honest!). But as you can see in the video at the bottom of the page, things didn’t stop at the traditional blow dry, as all manner of glitter, plaits and braids were thrust upon our guests once things got into full swing...

Thirty of Scotland’s finest fashion bloggers attended, five of which proudly paraded Nobody’s Child on the night, and it was amazing to see just how differently each of them styled our pieces. Betty, from 'Forever Yours Betty', contrasted her trademark orange hair with our monochromatic striped racer-back tank top, while Amanda from 'Honey Pop Kisses' used our Black Culotte Jumpsuit to accentuate her trademark pink hair. Tatyana, blogger at 'Lafotka', coordinated our Cream Pleated Skirt and ‘You Make Me Smile’ Jumper, and Simone from 'SHEbySMD' ingeniously layered a white petticoat under our Black Peplum Dress. Last but not least, Lucy from ‘Florals and Corals’ fittingly wore our Floral Bomber Jacket over a Black Cami Top, and it goes without saying, they all looked absolutely amazing!

A banquet of sushi greeted the bloggers, and the pastel pallet of cucumber, carrot, avocado and salmon conveniently complemented our SS16 colour ways. For those with a sweeter tooth, the most instagrammable doughnuts known to man awaited; we’re talking perfectly rounded creations, cooked to bronzed perfection, and topped with all manner of candy-coloured glazings, sprinkles, and shavings – shout out to Tantrum Doughnuts for what can only be described as pure #foodporn heaven! And of course, an abundance of fizz was on hand to wash everything down.

As for music, what with the current resurgence for all things nineties, DJ Elisha McEleney provided a playlist true to the decade, covering everything from No Doubt’s ‘Don’t Speak’ to Delight’s ‘Groove is in the Heart’. Unsurprisingly, it wasn’t long before everyone let their glittered hair down, as salon turned to dance floor. So check out our video below for a true taste of the evening (but sadly not the doughnuts)...

They’ll be plenty more blogger events on the way, so sign up to our newsletter below to ensure you never miss the memo!
