The ‘Nobody’s Child in Topshop’ Styling Event
As you no doubt know by now, Nobody’s Child launched in Topshop last week as the store’s latest clothing concession, and we sort of haven’t shut up about it since…today being no exception. To celebrate, we invited a selection of very special guests – including presenters, singers, actors, style bloggers, social influencers and fashion instagrammers, not to mention previous #girlcrushes, Gemma Styles and Mali-Koa Hood – to join us at the London Smashbox Studio for our launch party styling event. Here’s what went down…
Upon arrival, guests were promptly presented with a glass of prosecco, before receiving a professional make-over by the Smashbox crew members. Once their contouring was sufficiently on fleek, they were introduced to the Nobody’s Child ‘Topshop’ concession collection, and were free to choose between our selection of floral flippy skirts, animal print bodycons and stripy summer dresses, to style in whatever way they saw fit.
Once they’d pieced their look together, and spent sufficient time taking the perfect selfie in front of a fluorescent ring light in the changing room, it was off to the on-site studio for a session with our in-house fashion photographer. And thanks to a rather enthusiastic waiter – who seemed to possess a sixth sense for topping up glasses – no one remained camera shy for long…
Ditsy Print Tie Front Blouse – £15
We absolutely loved the variety of styles on show come the day, and among our favourites was fashion model, Fifi Anicah. She went for an off-beat off-duty vibe, casually tucking our Miami Beach Slogan Tee into a pair of denim hot pants, under which she layered a netted jumpsuit, and finished the look with black desert boots.
Style blogger, Desthy, went all-out print, and created a jungle chic statement by boldly pairing our palm print bomber jacket and shorts. She broke the pattern up with a black bodysuit and elevated the look with metallic strappy heels.
Palm Print Bomber Jacket – £25
Sticking with a monochrome pallet was Scottish presenter, Arielle Free. Opting for the Nobody’s Child tile print jumpsuit, she complemented the pattern with our black rib bomber jacket and a pair of zip-up wedge heels. Her beautiful red locks provided the perfect splash of colour, while coordinating nail polish demonstrated her commitment to detail.
