The sun may have disappeared over the weekend, but sunglasses were out in full force as once again fashionistas took over the capital for London Fashion Week. Congregating at the LFW epicentre that is Brewer Street, we popped down there for our bi-annual street style report…and true to form, the fash-pack didn’t hold back.

As always, eyes were caught and heads were turned by the more extravagantly dressed. But look past the sky-scraping bonnets, blindingly-bright hair-dos and pavement-trailing adornments, and the more trend-dedicated members of the style collective were still there to be found. So what was the word on the street? Well, homage to GB's recent Olympic triumph...or not, London dripped in molten metallics; glimmering golds and shimmering silvers dazzled under the continual flash of photography, and helped to illuminate a street otherwise neglected by the overcast skies. Florals were also out in full bloom, thanks to this season's AW-friendly muted colour palette. And then of course it was all about the oversized silhouette, with culottes and wide leg trousers competing for space as they vigorously billowed down that narrow windswept alley.

We got up-close-and-personal with five girls in particular who caught our attention with their AW16 style-savvy threads...

LFW Street Style Interview - Polly

Occupation – Fashion Student

What brings you to London Fashion Week today?

Inspiration, mainly. It's always nice to see what everyone's wearing. Street style's my favourite for sure.

What are you wearing?

A denim jumpsuit and a pair of mules. Keeping it casual.

Any particular trends you're loving at the moment?

Well, I've got to say denim - always. I saw Bella Hadid in a jumpsuit recently, and i was like.... gotta bring mine back out!

How would you describe your style?

Everyday is different - I try to mix it up.

Can you talk us through your outfit today?

Going for the layered look. I've got a pyjama shirt on, layered with a culotte jumpsuit over the top, and then a pair of mules to finish.

Any particular trends you're loving at the moment?

I'm absolutely loving rose pink right now. I was going to wear a rose pink outfit today, actually, but changed my mind, so i'm thinking maybe tomorrow that's going to be the one.

LFW Street Style Interview - Habba

Instagram Handle - @habbaheimisdottir
Occupation – Fashion Blogger

What brings you to London Fashion Week today?

I've been fortunate enough to attend a few shows, and have just got back from the blogger lounge, thanks to the guys at The Aptmt.

How would you describe your style?

Not your conventional girly-girl. I'm loving the oversized trend at the moment, especially culottes, and look to outfit-defining details for that finishing touch.

What are you wearing today?

Moving into the colder weather, I'm shifting from culottes to the wide leg trouser. In fact, I found this beautiful floral co-ord set from Nobody's Child, which was the perfect statement piece for LFW!
