A couple of weeks ago, the Daily Mail listed us as one of its ‘insta-famous fashion brands you NEED to know.’ Aw shucks was our rosy-cheeked response, followed by a quick any-excuse-trip to the Sainsbury’s prosecco aisle (cue, rosier cheeks). But it got us thinking; in little more than a year, we’ve racked up over 20,000 followers on Instagram, not to mention grown a super-devoted community, and a large part of that is thanks to our overwhelming blogger support. So to show our appreciation, we decided to host a little thank-you event at the Bourne & Hollingsworth restaurant on Wednesday evening, and THIS is what went down…

Hosted in the B&H Greenhouse Room, imagine something in-between the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party and an elven fairy glade, and you’re sort of in the right area. Aglow with the soft flicker of tea lights, which hung in glass globes from the ceiling, the room lived up to its name with all manner of jungle-like ferns cascading from the walls. As for the piece de résistance, a shimmery marble table ran the entire length of the room, and promised the ultimate surface for scroll-stopping, food-porn #flatlay shots.

Kicking off at half six, it was cocktail o’ clock for the first hour, as old friends met with new. Familiar faces included Fifi Newbery, the star of our 2015 Christmas blogger shoot, Carmen from our Topshop concession styling event, and Phoebe Fox, who you might recognise from our Insta-feed. As for NC-first-timers, we welcomed pink-haired stunner, Amy Valentine, très chic Tres Monikh, and DJ sister act, the Collyer twins, among others. Conversation flowed (almost as fluidly as the wine), while a selection of Polaroid cameras swiftly prompted eyes to close, tongues to protrude, and fingers to form v-shaped peace signs. Squad. Goals.

Jasmine Royales in-hand (a mix of gin, green tea, a spot of lemon and fizz… in case you were wondering), the bloggers were privy to an exclusive sneakpeak of our upcoming Disco Punk range. Bringing together all things velvet, polka dot, metallic and glitter, the collection of party-ready tops, dresses, miniskirts and playsuits will launch in time for Christmas. But more on that later… Onto dinner!

Baked sea trout and caper dressing, beetroot cured salmon and radish salad, and potato gnocchi with nut butter dressing were just some of the mouth-watering options on offer. As for pudding, white caramel chocolate mousse with lavender shortbreads do anything for you? How about lemon pudding with Yorkshire rhubarb and clotted cream? Thought as much. And once sufficiently stuffed, it was time for two magical words. No, not cheese board. Goodie bags. As for what our bloggers received? Well… that would be telling. And then it was back on the champers 'til close.

Stay tuned for our Disco Punk range, which will be boogie-ing its way onto the site very soon, but in the meantime, if you've been known to dabble with a bit of the ol' fashion blogging yourself, then get in with the #NCrowd over on Instagram @NobodysChild - and who knows? We might even see you at the next blogger dinner party!
