Our latest campaign – Spring Broke – celebrates the students among you, and is all about stretching your hard loaned money as far as possible. To that end, today's style guide shares three alternative ways to wear this season’s mega popular pleated skirt. And considering we do our own version in four different colourways – black, cream, peach and blue – that’s effectively 12 different looks available to you, or in other words, considerable bang for your buck!

Look 1 - Pleated Skirt, Bomber Jacket, Oversized Jumper and Boots

Oversized silhouettes dominated the SS16 catwalks in what was possibly the final nail in a coffin containing your treasured skinny jeans. But in addition to exaggerated shapes, contrast was another key fashion trend, and what could be more conflicting than a loose fitting sweat and boyfriend bomber jacket, alongside a beautifully tailored pleated skirt. Finish the look with a pair of chunky-heel ankle boots, and you’re good to go!

Look 2 - Pleated Skirt, Crop Top, Clutch Bag and Heels

Channel Parisian vibes with a side serving of Carrie Bradshaw circa 1998, with a pleated skirt, crop top and heels combo. The look is perfect for summer, while the heels will encourage you to walk in such a way as to amplify the skirt’s beautiful fluid movement. Think delicate pastel shades with a cute little clutch bag and one giant pair of Audrey Hepburn-esque Sunglasses.

Our Cream Pleated Skirt and Pink Rib Scoop Neck Tee is a quick-win. Complement with nude coloured heels for a neopolitan match made-in-heaven.

Look 3- Pleated Skirt, Leather Jacket and Trainers

Is there anything a fashionista's beloved leather jacket won’t go with? Try as we might, it literally looks great with anything and everything, pleated skirt included. And whereas once fashion meant pain, we've had it relatively easy these past few years what with the recent revival of the trainer, too.

Block-colouring works perfectly with this look. Coordinate your jacket and pleated skirt in one colour, and your crop top and trainers in another. Pink and blue contrasts beautifully, as does green and grey. Alternatively, you could always do the all black thing, and pair our knot front top, black pleated skirt and leather jacket, with a pair of Adidas Superstars - a fashion instagrammer favourite! - for a street chic finish.
