At Nobody’s Child everybody counts. Whether in head office, in store, or in our supply chain, people are the at heart of everything we do.
We strive to create a values-led culture and a team that lives and breathes our core values:
Be Brave
Be Kind
Be Agile
Be Optimistic
Ensuring our team’s wellbeing is always a priority. That's why we provide employees with dedicated wellbeing days and wellbeing breaks during work hours. We’ve also made an impactful partnership with the Retail Trust that ensures that all our employees feel supported and empowered to take control of their wellbeing with access to counselling, virtual GPs, crisis support, work engagement tools and so much more.
We prioritise safe and fairly paid work for everyone who works for and with Nobody’s Child, whether that's in our head office, our stores, our warehouses or our supply chains. 100% of our Tier 1 supply chain partners are audited to SMETA or BSCI standards. Our product teams regularly conduct supply chain visits and maintain open, face-to-face dialogue with partners. Our Supplier Handbook serves as a centralised resource that outlines our latest policies and procedures across labour and workplace management, environmental protection, and preferred materials.
Giving back is at the core of NC and over the years we've supported a range issues through financial or product donations, from natural disasters to social justice issues.
We have longstanding partnerships with both Smartworks and Shelter.
Over the years, we have donated over 3,000 units of stock and samples to Smartworks, a UK charity that exists to empower women by dressing and coaching them through the interview process, and giving them the confidence they need to succeed at interview.
In 2024, Shelter raised £109,556 through our clothing donations. Just to put that into context, £100 could help fund 5 webchats providing essential housing advice for a family facing homelessness. £500 could help fund 17 calls to our emergency helpline, providing a lifeline to people at crisis point.
